Founded in 1983, P S Analytical specialises in the determination of mercury, arsenic, selenium, antimony, tellurium and bismuth for a wide and ever-increasing range of applications. PSA's commitment to research and development has enabled the company to react to market needs with a range of exciting products. The Millennium systems, which harness the benefits of Atomic Fluorescence and vapour generation into one compact unit, have evolved from these innovations. Typically, users are now able to obtain limits of detection of 0.1ppt for mercury and 2ppt for selenium quickly and easily. PSA are also heavily involved in the analysis of Mercury in gas and manufacture a range of on-line mercury systems for both gas and liquid analysis. Please review the instrument range below |

The
Millennium Merlin for mercury determination is designed for
routine use and offers the necessary facilities for today's
researcher and analytical methods development chemist.
The system combines accuracy with precision and has the greatest
linear dynamic range of any competitive system, with detection
levels for mercury of better than 0.1ppt. The Millennium Merlin
is controlled from a PC with Windows based Avalon software,
allowing discrete data capture with full integration into
user networks and formats.

The
Millennium Excalibur system combines reliability with precision
and ease of use. Switching between analytes is facilitated
by the easy access of the lamp housing.
Detection levels of 10ppt for As and Sb and 2ppt for Se can
readily be achieved. With the use of an optimised multi-reflectance
filter detection levels of 10ppt can also be achieved for
both Te and Bi.

PSA developed the Sir Galahad as its first integrated product to measure mercury in ambient air, natural gas and stack emissions building on the expertise that their scientists and engineers have acquired since 1983. The Sir Gahalad is the central component in all the products that PSA produces for the determination of mercury in gaseous samples either on-line or off-line. Its great success is attributable to PSA’s unique combination of the Sir Gahalad gold-coated Amasil adsorption/desorption system with the Merlin Atomic fluorescence detector. This combination allows mercury to be determined at levels down to 0.1picogram and over seven orders of magnitude |

| PSAnalytical has numerous global on-line installations for liquid and gaseous sample types including mercury in caustic soda, chlor-alkali effluent streams, hydrogen and cell room atmospheres. Other applications include sulfuric acid, waste incinerator effluent, wastewater effluent, natural gas and stack gas. The sampling for mercury analysis is notoriously challenging, as it is difficult to preserve sample integrity especially when associated with complex matrices and process plant applications. PSA's on-line analyser overcomes these challenges whilst providing continuous mercury analysis of either liquid or gaseous sample streams from ppt to ppm levels. Data export options include 4-20mA and RS232 outputs configurable to a DCS. |
